  • I was reading an interesting piece recently about the number of languages spoken across the world, and it really got me thinking about how we communicate and what it means to preserve our cultural identity. The Global Picture Today shows us that languages are more than just tools for talking—they carry stories, memories, beliefs, humor, and entire worldviews. Some people grow up bilingual or even multilingual without really thinking about it, while others may only know a single language and view other languages as distant or unfamiliar https://blog.appewa.com/how-ma…e-there-across-the-globe/ .

What stood out to me is the sheer number of languages that exist globally. Many of us are familiar with major world languages like English, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, or Hindi, but there are thousands of other languages spoken by smaller communities that we rarely hear about. These languages may not have millions of speakers, yet they are just as significant. They hold traditions and histories that can’t easily be translated or replaced. When a language disappears, it’s not just words that vanish—it’s an entire cultural perspective that is lost.
